Anthony Griego
Anthony Griego is the founder of The Law Office of Anthony Griego, LLC and a seasoned New Mexico attorney with a background that combines high-level courtroom litigation experience with sophisticated family law practice.
Mr. Griego graduated from the University of New Mexico in 2007, earning his Bachelor’s degree in Criminology. He was admitted to the New Mexico State Bar in 2011 and has since built a reputation as a skilled trial attorney and strategic advocate.
Before founding his firm, Mr. Griego became a Partner at a prominent Albuquerque family law firm, a distinction earned through exceptional work ethic, litigation skill, and dedication to client advocacy.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Griego served as an Assistant District Attorney in Bernalillo, Cibola, and Sandoval Counties. While assigned to the Violent Crimes Division in Sandoval County, he gained extensive first-chair trial experience prosecuting serious and complex felony cases, including multiple homicide prosecutions. This background provides him with a rare level of courtroom confidence, evidentiary command, and strategic litigation experience that directly benefits his family law clients today.
In private practice, Mr. Griego handles complex divorce, custody, and child support matters, often involving high conflict, contested litigation, and intricate factual or financial issues. His litigation background allows him to approach family law cases with both precision and strength when courtroom advocacy is required. Mr. Griego has also been appointed by the Court as a Guardian ad Litem, representing the interests of children in complex and sensitive matters — a role that reflects the Court’s trust in his judgment, professionalism, and ability to navigate difficult family dynamics.
